Kezmiché Atterbury is a seasoned communications executive that’s been operating at the intersection of communications, policy, and advocacy for almost twenty years. She currently serves as an Associate Vice President of Communications at Comcast NBCUniversal, where she delivers communications strategy across policy, financial, consumer, and DEI communications.
Previously, Kezmiché served as the Senior Vice President of Media Relations at Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), the trade association that represents the policy and legal interests of the three major music companies––Universal, Sony and Warner. Prior to RIAA, she worked as the Managing Director of Communications at Service Employees International Union (SEIU) and as Senior Director of Communications & External Affairs at the National Urban League.
From 2011 to 2015, Kezmiché was Communications Director to Congressman G. K. Butterfield (NC-01) during his tenure as Vice Chair and Chair of the Congressional Black Caucus. She has also held positions with the Office of Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton and the State of Florida Senate.
In 2020, Kezmiché was named to City & State Magazine’s Responsible 100 list. She has served on a number of volunteer boards, which included Washington Women in Public Relations (WWPR) and the League of Women Voters Dekalb County. She is a member of The Recording Academy and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Kezmiché is a proud graduate of Florida A&M University and holds master’s degrees from Georgetown University and Nova Southeastern University.
